UCONN Law Grad Christopher Murphy Sworn in as Connecticut's Newest Senator

The Nutmeg Lawyer would like to congratulate Senator Christopher Murphy as he is sworn in as Connecticut's newest Senator. The UCONN Law grad will take over the reigns from the retiring Joe Lieberman.  Connecticut will now have two lawyers in the Senate fighting the good fight. Murphy's Nutmeg colleague Dick Blumenthal is the former Attorney General for the state. At 39, Murphy will be the Senate's youngest member.  (At 88 years old, New Jersey's Frank Lautenberg is the oldest).  Of course Murphy is not the only lawyer in the family.  His father is a managing partner at Hartford's prestigious Shipman & Goodwin.  We wish the Senator and his family all the best.  - Watch as Sen. Murphy's one year old gets "sworn in."
