The Nutmeg Lawyer Celebrates One Year Anniversary.

A manned flight shadows the ground at Kitty Hawk. A flickering bulb brightens the walls of a New Jersey lab.  A small step onto the surface of the moon mesmerizes a planet. Throughout history, humanity has experienced momentous events that would alter our daily lives.  Milestones that would define our humanity and embolden our dreams to soar higher. Today, history takes another bold step forward.  Yes, the Nutmeg Lawyer Legal Blog has passed the one year mark.

I would like to express many thanks to the readers of this blog for supporting our efforts. I appreciate and have been taken aback by the positive response. From being profiled by the Connecticut Law Tribune to having articles reprinted in state bar publications throughout the country, it has been a thoroughly enjoyable experience.  After all, what kid didn't grow up wanting to play for the Yankees or get published by the Wisconsin Lawyer Magazine?

My first post was the announcement of our law firm's new office location. It was riveting stuff that included a photo of our recently purchased waiting room couch.  It was all down hill from there.  The blog covered everything from ridiculous attorney ads to treadmill desks. Many thanks to  the Connecticut Law Tribune, A Public Defender, Brett Owens, Pittsburgh Legal Back Talk, Attorney O's Midnight Musings, Jim Calloway's Law Practice Tips, Death's Little Instruction Book,  Lawyer Up09 and A Connecticut Law Blog  for being among the first to bring some great exposure to my blog.  Their links gave the Nutmeg Lawyer an incredible boost in readership and brought it to the attention of various media outlets.  I would also like to thank the academy, my crew Ray Ray and Fat Lenny and the people of Lichenstein.

Of course, it was not all flowers and sausages.  As difficult as it may be to believe, I even had a critic or two.  Sure, I know what you're thinking.  It's like telling Michelangelo that his Sistine Chapel masterpiece was painted too high, that Aristotle thinks too much or that a Chopin etude has too many notes.  I know.  It's like criticizing a perfect sunset.  What can you do?

Hey, I can handle a little criticism.  I'm a year older after all.
