Rebecca Black's Friday Fun Brings Monday Lawsuits.

You may be one of the millions of Americans who have stumbled across 13 year old Rebecca Black and her Youtube posted song "Friday."  With lyrics like "Fun Fun Fun Fun" and "Yesterday was Thursday.  Today is Friday ", the song sticks in your head like the Macarena or the love theme from Titanic.  I have already been threatened with divorce after spending one Saturday incessentally singing "Friday Friday, Fun Fun Fun Fun"  Apparently Black's mother paid $2000 to have two songs written and a video produced for her daughter.

According to Rolling Stone, the young artist's mother has accused Ark Music Factory of copyright infringement.  If you plan to break out the torches and pitchforks, Ark Music Factory is the company who is responsible for the youtube video sensation "Friday".  Giorgina Kelly is seeking all rights to the song and accuses the company of exploiting her daughter's likeness on social media without the artist's permission.  Black is represented by Attorney Brian Schall and has since signed with another record company.  (Editors Note: Here is "Bob Dylan's" take on the song.)
